Publications

The Centre for Research in HIV and AIDS promotes scholarly writing, broadly related to HIV in Context. It does this through encouraging people to publish, especially arising from the Centre's symposia and the work undertaken in its projects - and through holding writing retreats where various resources and support is available - not least of which is uninterrupted time. As a virtual centre, the CRHA aims to catalyse and make visible UWC's publications and resources related to HIV and its determinants. Some, listed below, are produced directly as a result of projects and scholarship funded by the CRHA; others are produced by researchers at SOPH and other departments at the University of the Western Cape.

Working papers

The HIV-in-Context Working Papers seek and contribute to engage scholarship and debate that understands and addresses HIV in context. They include a range of genres, from state-of-the-art reviews of the literature to theoretical or methodological think pieces to reflect and experimental contributions from scholars, educators, practitioners, activists and policy makers. The opinions expressed in the Working Papers are those of the authors alone.
